From Sexual Astrology

The SCORPIO Oct. 24 – Nov. 21
Determined, Forceful, Emotional, Intuitive, Powerful, Passionate, Exciting and Magnetic
Jealous, Resentful, Compulsive, Obsessive, Secretive and Obstinate

Intuitive and ever curious, Scorpios are the great investigators of the Zodiac. They want to know everything about everyone. When an answer is needed, a Scorpio will find it for you. Unfortunately Scorpios seem to see only in black and white. They always have their own agenda and never fail to promote it.

Scorpios are the masters of their fate. They know only one way to live: on their own terms. They do not live life but attack it. When life hands them a loss, they do not waste time sulking, but rather continue on their path, sure they will eventually succeed. Scorpios are driven by their intense passions and desires. Often they are seen as imperious.

Scorpios are a secretive lot. Those around them may never know the depth of their passions. Probing the Scorpio psyche will only make them leery and cause them to flee. Whether in business or play, Scorpios love to compete. Indeed to do well, they must have an opponent. Scorpios do not take slights well. If you cross them be assured they will retaliate with their full force. Scorpios never quit and never surrender. If anyone can get a difficult task done it is a Scorpio.

The Scorpio In Love:
Scorpios have a dark and mysterious style which, combined with an irresistible personal magnetism, creates a fascination in members of the opposite sex. They ooze sexual excitement and require a partner who can keep up with their marvelous capacity for taking everything to the limit and far beyond. For Scorpios, emotions run deep, and their faculty of intuition is remarkably accurate, so their antennae can pick out a prospective partner at first sight. They need, however, to keep a part of themselves private and personal. They can react vigorously should a lover trespass in their personal domain.

Scorpios can be unduly domineering in personal relationships, especially should they perceive their partner to be weaker than themselves. Their biggest problem is finding someone who, while strong enough to maintain a tempestuous lifestyle, is interesting enough to remain a challenge. Once they find the right person they will mate for life.

Why is Scorpio So Sexy?
Posted by Grace, 2011

Scorpio is a water sign, firmly entrenched in the emotional depth of our psyche.  It is what we most want to know and understand about ourselves.  It is also what we are most afraid of about ourselves as it reveals our deepest vulnerabilities.  Scorpio has a reputation for being intense and mysterious because it is so determined to get to the bottom of things, it digs and digs deeper, seeking the truths hidden below the surface.  It seeks what is real…really real.  This intensity is often attractive to people as we are naturally drawn to Truth and to the search for Truth.  It’s often what we want to hide that is what is others want us to reveal… or what others want to find out about us.  This is why Scorpio intensity is often misinterpreted as physical sexual energy and attraction by most people.  People want to know what’s behind the power they feel around Scorpios.  They want to know where the intensity comes from and they think it’s a solely physical thing.

The thing is… for Scorpios, their intensity is really an attraction to the emotional depths of other people.  Scorpio Sun natives or people with major Scorpio influences in their charts may not be overtly sexual people!  In reality, it is not uncommon for Scorpio natives to go without the physical act of sex for days, weeks, months, even years!  They’d rather wait for the deeper emotional connection they truly desire than to engage in a simply physical one.  That is why Scorpios can become addicts to physical sex, drugs, alcohol, work, etc. – to focus their attentions until the genuine and deep emotional connection they truly want comes along […]

Sex has a dual purpose.  Its first is that it is the most intimate act two people can engage in as its most foundational purpose is to create human life.  It is how each of us came into this world, and it is how we potentially bring other human beings into this world.  It is a physical act that creates a physical expression of life…and many of us as humans are very emotionally invested in our lives (and sometimes the lives of others) and this act of creation.

Through the physical act, sex’ second purpose comes forth as the most profound and powerful sex is the sex in which both people are willing and eager to emotionally connect, and they are being vulnerable with each other by choosing and allowing their physical guard to be let down.  Many of us overlook the not-so-small detail that for our physical guard to be let down, our emotional guard must be let down completely…or in some cases, put up.

There are some who use the physical act of sex as a way to avoid their deepest emotional truths.  The physical act is a way to avoid or ignore dealing with the emotions that drive the physical expression – it’s a numbing out of emotional truth.

Yet for others, the act of sex is a way to express their deepest emotional truths.  They may not be good with words – spoken or written – so the physical expression is what they use to get their truth out.  It’s a form of emotional communication – an acting out and expressing of their emotional truth.

For those of us who are able to experience a genuine emotional connection with someone and engage in the physical act of sex from that foundation, there is a emotional and spiritual experience like no other.  Sex can be healing, transformative.  It can change the lives of both people involved in positive ways.

You see.  For Scorpio, the emotional and spiritual connection is the most important detail – a connection in which they can be completely vulnerable with someone and that someone will fully reciprocate that vulnerability.  Where Taurus may value the physical and material, Scorpio values the emotional and spiritual motives and desires behind the physical and material resources and acts.  Once Scorpio finds the emotional and spiritual depth it is looking for, it finds peace with the physical.

Ask yourself how sex is (or isn’t) important to you.  Ask yourself the role it plays in your life, in your day-to-day routine, in your interactions and relationships with others.  For more exploration into how Scorpio energy shows up in your own life, go to the services page or click on the “schedule now” tab to schedule a free consultation.  I’ll be happy to assist you the discovery and/or exploration of your sexual truth…intellectually, of course.

    The Death Card (Transformation)

The Tarot card that accords with Nun is Death which is ascribed to Scorpio. Thus the principle of Nun, like Scorpio, is transformation. Scorpio rules the 8th sign and house which deal with sex, death and transformation.

    Scripturally, “death” often signifies initiation.

Speak not of my righteous servants as dead. Nay, they
are alive but you perceive them not. — Quran

Like Scorpio, true spiritual initiates are often underground, operating in secret and they are all around but “ye see them not.”

Sex and death are so intimately related that the French call orgasm “la petite morte,” i.e., “the little death.” Because sex usually results in ejaculation, sex leads to death.

But metaphorical death (initiation) leads to mastery of sex thus potential immortality.

Let the dead [initiates] bury the [physically] dead. — [Bible]

Sex is a transformative energy. The initiate harnesses that mighty force to empower a transformation into the embodiment (shrine) of a particular aspect of divine.

Scorpio’s symbols are the scorpion, dove, snake, eagle, spider and hawk (or falcon).

In Genesis the upright serpent is a thinly disguised symbol of the erect penis. It excites (“tempts”) the woman, Eve. Eve means “breath,” and represents the life-force.

The snake tells her that she won’t die if she eats of the tree. On the contrary, her eyes will open and she will become like the Eloheem (gods). The tree is one of knowledge of positive and negative (“good and evil”) polarities.

In Taoist philosophy Ching is sexual energy. The I Ching — Book of Transformations — is related to sexual force. Life force (Chi, Ra, Kundalini) is inherently sexual) (electromagnetic). All oracles function in conjunction with the life force.
